All stair treads are custom milled from quality recycled timber to your specific requirements. Our recycled timbers are suitable to be used for internal or external stair treads, stringers, risers and landings and can be finished in a number of ways dependent on the look you are wanting to achieve.
These recycled timber stair treads may come with characteristics of recycled and aged timbers such as nail or bolt holes and other rustic imperfections. Finishes are either sawn, sawn/sanded or DAR. If you are after a more timeless aged look we also supply grey weathered timbers which are generally from old wharves and bridge walkways. These aged grey timbers can be wirebrushed to achieve a unique dramatic rustic look.
All recycled timber stair treads are custom made and can be supplied with a rustic finish containing natural edges and bolt holes, or in a neater finish for those wanting a neater more refined look. As we are a custom milling service we are able to meet individual size requirements ensuring your recycled timber stair treads give you the exact look you are after.

I was looking around for a timber supplier that was flexible, well priced and gave me the specifications I wanted and needed to make the wall work. Other suppliers either couldn’t do the sizes or tried to talk me into their sizes when I wanted large single pieces over 3.5m long for example as I didn’t want any joins. The team at timber with veins were very patient and helpful as I worked out how to build it and fix it in place, such that I got exactly what I needed to make what you see here. The wood is beautiful and the wall is unique, and very good value compared to others.
